My Lucky Jeans

Every March I search for something green to wear on St. Patrick’s Day that’s more stylish and original than my beloved “Kiss Me I’m Irish” T-shirt from college.  It’s a pretty easy feat this year with the help of Pantone’s Color of the Year – emerald and the trend turned staple – colored jeans.  I put together four different looks with the same pair of emerald jeans from Aeropostale.  With these ideas I hope to give you some luck when picking out your outfit this weekend!

What A Great Find! Emerald earrings, à la Jolie

On an impromptu shopping trip to New York & Company, I found these gorgeous emerald-like drop earrings, worthy of the red carpet.  Inspired by Angelina Jolie’s pair that she wore to the Oscars, these are a fortunate find during award show season AND they were deeply discounted!  I've been looking for a near exact replica since I fell in love with Jolie's and these are very similar.  I also snapped up the matching bracelet.

Oversized statement earrings like these reprised their role on the red carpet at the Golden Globes last Sunday.  While there are no black tie events in my future, I look forward to wearing these with a black cocktail dress and suede pumps on a date night.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas: Evergreen Polish

Today, I’m seeing emerald… on my nails.  Evergreen by Icing is such a festive polish for the holidays and a welcomed breath of fresh pine-filled air.  Different from the regular reds often seen at this time of year, this sparkly emerald also happens to be Pantone’s 2013 Color of the Year.  What do you think of this holiday look?
