Work to Play with Grace Adele

Sometimes, as a fun-loving, young professional, I have a busy day that involves going from work to play.  On these days I try to wear an outfit that easily transitions from the office to dinner & cocktails, or wherever I may be headed, with a few quick changes.  My new bag and clutch from Grace Adele helps me do just that.

The “Taylor” bag is large enough to hold makeup, additional accessories and even extra clothing. It’s a structured satchel with top handles handcrafted in full-grain leather. The “Reese” clutch doubles as a wallet by day and a stylish bag for just the essentials at night. It has patent leather trim and a detachable strap.

I received my bags from my friend and Grace Adele consultant, Joanna Viola, here in Toledo, Ohio. However, Grace Adele products are available across the country through local consultants and at their home parties.

While I still managed to agonize over my decision, Joanna helped me use The Grace Adele Style System to create my look:

1. Pick my color: Metallic, scarlet, ocean, grape, orange, stone, black and ocelot
I knew I wanted something a little wild for nights out so I chose ocelot, an animal print. Then for my larger bag, I selected stone because it’s an easy to wear neutral and close to trendy winter white, but not your basic black or brown.

2. Choose my bag: Featuring eight gorgeous styles for fall/winter.
The ladylike satchel was very on trend this season, so I immediately reached for “Taylor.”

3. Add my clutch: Add a clutch of the same color of your bag’s front pocket or try color blocking with another shade to make a bold statement.
Well I had already chosen ocelot, so now I had to pick the style. That was a challenge because they’re all adorable! I ended up with “Reese” because I liked the patent trim and buckle and I thought the shape of the flap would look nice with the “Taylor.”

4. Style my bag: Elevate your look when you add clip-ons and accessories to your bag.
I decided the ocelot flap was wild enough and chose to keep my bag simple without extra accessories.

5. Style me: Finish your look with scarves and jewelry.
Grace Adele has an entire line of jewelry and scarves to coordinate with your bags.

Taking My Grace Adele From Work To Play

A recent business trip to Chicago presented the ideal situation to take my Grace Adele bags from work to play. To work I wore an off-white blouse with a blazer and wide-leg burgundy pants.  I accessorized with black patent pumps to match the patent trim on the clutch and a double strand necklace that pulled all of the colors together.

For play, I kept the same blouse, pumps and of course, the ocelot print clutch. But I changed into a textured gray skirt, switched my necklace to a chunky collar with black beads and added a belt with black studs.

Thanks to Grace Adele, and a few quick changes, I was ready to go from work to play in Chi-Town!
