21 Ways to Wear Fringe this Fall

(And 14 Pieces to Shop)

I must have ESP (Extra Style Perception). I fell in love with this suede fringed skirt from an estate sale and featured it in a post last August. Now I’m seeing fringe everywhere! Time to pull out that skirt again. But how else could I wear it, without looking like I’m on my way to a music festival...? I did some research on one of the most fun, and turns out easiest, trends and put together some tips on how to wear it this fall.

How to Wear Fringe:

  • No need to take the Western history of fringe too literally. Sure, you can play up the bohemian feel of fringe for a festival-worthy outfit. But today’s fringe can be contemporary and metropolitan. For example, add prep appeal to a fringed skirt by pairing it with a collared shirt. Wearing bold colors or a graphic print makes a fringed look more modern.
  • Try letting fringe be the star by pairing it with simple pieces, like a fringed skirt with a T-shirt or a fringed top with straight legged pants.
  • Add interest, movement and texture to just about any outfit with a fringed scarf, handbag, shoe or even jewelry.
  • As always, if you love it, rock it! Your confidence will make it work.

Below are 21 ways to wear fringe
that caught my eye, thanks to the stylish ladies of the fashion industry, internet and entertainment. I've also provided a collection of my favorite reasonably-priced fringed items, so you can rock the trend yourself.
