"Taste of Kansas City"

On the evening of the second day of the conference, #Sizzler 13 hosted a “Taste of Kansas City” Dinner at Union Station with more barbecue and entry into the Real Pirates exhibit.  My new friends from Purdue and I enjoyed the pirate-themed dinner, the exhibit's story of the pirate ship Whydah and of course, the photo booth.

To it I wore a high low skirt in dusty rose and an ivory sleeveless top with a dainty floral print.  This is another example of combining a printed item with a top or bottom of a color found in the print.  So simple, so chic.  I paired the ensemble with gold accessories, including earrings with tiny pink beads and cork kitten heels.

Speaking of gold, I’d like to mention how yellow gold, in jewelry, accessories and clothing, is more and more popular.  It no longer only invokes outrageous visions of music videos from the golden age of hip hop or those earrings your relative bought you, but you never wore, until now.  If you haven’t added any gold to your jewelry collection, rest assured, now is the time.  It may be trendy now, but it’s a trend that will last and come back again and again.

Tell me, what are your thoughts on yellow gold?
